Stefany Forster and PP Copy Of
A Chip
2006 Season

PP Copy Of A Chip is a 2005 black and white Overo filly
owned by Cathy and Stefany Forster of Mara BC and is trained and shown
by Stefany. Known as Molly, this outstanding filly is sired by Lucky Diamond
Chip by Lucky Diamond Te. “Chip” stands in Caroline Alberta at Pipestone
Paints. Ken Gutek and Kathy Shrivers were able to recognize the good match
between their stud “Chip” and their mare Robins Scooter Twist by Robins
Copy. In early March Cathy Forster headed with her friend Lynn Freeland
to Alberta for a weekend of horse shopping. Lynn was looking for a yearling
filly prospect. Once seeing Molly at Pipestone Paints Cathy called her
daughter to tell her she wanted to buy a yearling she had seen. After
a month of contemplating whether they needed another horse the Forsters'
decided to purchase the filly. Stefany believed that it was a good investment
as she had seen the offspring of Lucky Diamond Chip and had always admired
them. The Forsters' brought Molly back to BC in early May. Stefany and
Molly made their first show debut in Camrose, Alberta in June, 2006. They
were there to compete in the Breeders Stakes’ Yearling Halter Futurity.
The team placed fifth overall in halter but earned points in Yearling
Lungeline. Molly then made her way to the Lower Mainland Quarter Horse
Show in July. This amazing duo placed third in the “Yearling In Hand Trail”
open futurity and went Reserve Grand in Paint Mares. At the Zone 10 Paint
show in Red Deer, Alberta Molly showed her talent and versatility winning
both the Yearling Fillies Futurity and the Yearling Lunge Line Futurity.
Stef. and Molly also came away with a win in the Yearling Fillies line
class receiving five firsts and a second out of six judges. September
was a busy month – they competed at the South Central Quarter Horse Show
in Armstrong, BC. They entered three open futurities and ended up with
a third in Lungeline, third in Yearling Halter Fillies and a second in
“In Hand Trail”. A week later it was back to Red Deer, Alberta for the
Breeders Stake Yearling Lungeline Futurity. After a busy month and lots
of hard work Stef. and Molly won this prestigious futurity and moved up
to second place in the Breeders’ Stakes three year program. By the completion
of the 2006 show season Stefany and PP Copy Of A Chip were awarded their
ROM in Yearling Fillies Halter, their ROM in Yearling Lungeline, one APHA
Grand, two APHA Reserve Grands, Zone 10 Champion Fillies, Reserve High
Point Yearling for Alberta and a strong finish at the end of her second
year of the Breeders’ Stakes program. This puts her in second place in
the trailer standings with the final leg – two year old Western Pleasure
at Red Deer in August, 2007. Watch out for this team at all the major
2 yr. Old futurities in 2007!
