APHA keeps Paint Horse enthusiasts up to date online as well
as through three great publications - their free monthly e-mail
newsletter, the quarterly APHA Connection, & the award-winning
Paint Horse Journal.
One of the B.C. Paint Horse Club’s
important continuing goals is to help this Club to grow, not only
in membership, but in activities and programs that will benefit
members all over the province. Through improved communication and
contact with our members, we hope to create a vibrant network of
people, of all ages, who share a passion for the care and promotion
of the American Paint Horse. The stronger the membership, the better
the club can serve its members. Our motto for 2008 – STAY CONNECTED!
If you like to show,
you will be eligible to compete for NWCC Year End Awards and
BCPHC Year End Awards for APHA and Open Shows, and the Free
Trophy award for the highpoint Paint Horse at participating
local open shows.
Information
about horse industry activities (particularly in Western Canada
and the Pacific Northwest) is available to you via a complimentary
subscription to Saddle Up Magazine, Western Horse Review (should
you subscribe), the NWCC Directory, an annual Members Business
Directory presented by BCPHC members, and a regular e-mail newsletter
– Colourings updating you on Club news, events, and much more.

Our website keeping you apprised
of the club’s activities, easy access for forms and information,
links to related sites (i.e. APHA, APHC, NWCC, Zones One and Ten),

If you are interested in the
Club’s affairs, you are entitled to a right to vote at regular BCPHC
meetings and, through our national directors, a voice with the American
Paint Horse Association.

) On joining, the BCPHC will arrange this at the member's request.
To be eligible for
any NWCC Year End Awards, members must complete a Declaration
Form prior to participating in any NWCC-approved competition
(which includes the Rainbow Classic). The form is posted
on the NWCC Website

comprises 17 member clubs from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana,
BC and Alaska. We are also a member of the Northwest Coordinating
Committee (an association of clubs from Zone One), which entitles
all BCPHC members to participate in their fabulous year end award
& futurity program, & receive the annual NWCC Directory. The NWCC
futurities are held at the Zone One show in August. Zone One has
a prestigious reputation in the Paint Horse industry, with its Zone-O-Rama
being #4 in the nation for three years running, & many of their
members raising & competing with Paint Horses at the World Champion
level! To claim a spot on the Zone One Honour Roll is considered
top drawer! There are 10 NWCC shows – 44 judges, plus a Zone One
show with 6 judges offered throughout Washington & Oregon (including
4 shows within a couple hours drive of the Canada/US border). Please

BCPHC
is a member of the Northwest Coordinating Committee (NWCC) – an
association of all the clubs in B.C., Washington, Oregon, and Idaho
– whose primary purpose is to coordinate show dates and judges among
the member clubs. We are also a member of the Zone One Representative
Council whose job it is to organize and host the Zone One-O-Rama
show each year.
