BCPHC Open Show & Competition Program

Several years ago, the BC Paint Horse Club recognized that not all of our members have access APHA-approved competitions. This is a big province divided by water (Vancouver Island) and mountains (beyond Hope) and huge distances. We also knew that the members who were competing at their local shows and competitions (like reinings, ropings and dressage) were helping us promote our APHA-registered horses to the “unconverted” and so we created a program to acknowledge their efforts and reward their successes.

The BCPHC Open Show & Competition Program (OSCP) gives members the opportunity to record their results at all breed shows and competitions and submit them for BCPHC year end awards. The program is similar in philosophy to APHA’s Paint Alternative Competition (PAC) program, but is exclusive for BC Paint Horse Club members who compete in their local and discipline-specific shows. If you’re registered for PAC, you should be sending BCPHC your OSCP results, too! (And if you’re already competing for OSCP, you should sign up for PAC! It’s a win/win, either way!)
