Year End Highpoint Award Programs

The mandate of the American Paint Horse Association and the B.C. Paint Horse Club is to promote the beauty and diverse qualities of the American Paint Horse.

The B.C. Paint Horse Club has two year end award programs for members to accumulate points that will recognize their efforts with their Paint Horses (in the Regular or Breeding Stock Registries) in the show arena.

  1. The BCPHC Year End Award Program tabulates results obtained in APHA classes sanctioned by the BCPHC between January 1st and October 15, 2008. This would include the Rainbow Classic (Chilliwack) and the Summer Colours (Langley) circuits. The horse must be registered and APHA rules apply concerning eligibility and ownership.

  2. Any members interested in participating in the B.C. Bred highpoint (refers to horses foaled in B.C.) must submit a Declaration Form to Pointskeeper prior to the competition.

  3. The BCPHC Open Show & Competition Program tabulates results for almost any type of Western or English class obtained in any Open Horse Show attended (could be outside of the province) November 1, 2007 and October 15, 2008. This would refer to All Breed / Open classes at QH or Appaloosa or Pinto Pinto shows, local riding club shows, etc. Please note that results will also be accepted from BCPHC members who participate in APHA classes at non-sanctioned BCPHC shows, i.e. some of the Northern shows in Smithers, Terrace, Dawson Creek, etc. Eligible shows must be governed by a published set of rules and keep official records. A Result Form must be completed by the exhibitor and verified and signed by the Show Secretary. The horse must be registered and the exhibitor must be a member of the BCPHC. Pointskeeper: Pam Malekow. Contact Pam at (250) 359-7097 or e-mail at mpmalekow@shaw.ca
